This 1969 Shelby GT350 was delivered new to Horn-Williams Ford, and was initially used as a rental vehicle as part of a partnership between Ford and Hertz. A subsequent refurbishment performed by The Restomod Shop was completed in 2010, and the car later won several Gold awards at Shelby American Automobile Club and Mustang Club of America National and Grand National events during the 2010s. The car is finished in Black Jade over white upholstery, and power comes from a replacement 351ci V8 paired with an FMX three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.00:1 Traction-Lok differential. Features include power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, five-spoke 15″ wheels, center exhaust outlets, white side stripes, Lucas driving lamps, a tilt-away steering wheel, and a push-button AM radio.
The replacement 351ci Windsor V8 was installed during the refurbishment, and it is equipped with a ram-air intake assembly, a Shelby intake manifold, and an Autolite four-barrel carburetor. An oil change and a coolant flush were performed in preparation for sale. Engine-block castings presented above include date code 9D9, which corresponds to an April 9, 1969 manufacture date.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through an FMX three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.00:1 Traction-Lok differential. Manufacturer’s literature, shipping invoices, an Ownercard, an Elite Marti report, and a glovebox door with a Carroll Shelby signature and certificate of authenticity will accompany the vehicle along with refurbishment photos and records.
The fastback body was delivered from the factory in Black Jade (C5) and was stripped to bare metal and repainted during the refurbishment. Equipment includes Lucas driving lamps, NACA ducts in the hood, white side stripes with GT350 script on the fenders, body-color sport mirrors, quarter-panel scoops, an integrated rear spoiler, and center-exit exhaust outlets.
Five-spoke 15″ wheels wear black Shelby center caps and are wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15″ tires with raised white lettering. A space-saver spare is stowed in the trunk along with a jack. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted discs up front and drums out back.
The cabin features high-back front bucket seats and a Sport Deck folding rear seat trimmed in white vinyl with cloth inserts along with a matching headliner and door panels. A contrasting black dashboard, center console, and carpets are fitted, while woodgrain trim accents the dash, door panels, and center console. Additional equipment includes a Philco AM radio, a clock mounted to the passenger-side dashboard, and a roll bar with shoulder harnesses.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears a vinyl wrap, and it is mounted on a tilt-away column ahead of a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. Additional gauges for oil pressure and amperage are positioned ahead of the gearshift, and they were rebuilt during the refurbishment.
The five-digit odometer shows 73k miles, total mileage is unknown.
