This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was first delivered to Braeger Chevrolet of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and it was later refurbished in the 1980s. It was refinished in maroon in 2002. The car is powered by a 427ci L68 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes white vinyl upholstery, a white convertible soft top, 15″ Rally wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, side-exit exhaust pipes, a cabin heater, an AM/FM radio, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights. The 427ci L68 V8 is equipped with three two-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The engine stamping is shown above. The JC suffix corresponds with a 400-horsepower, 427ci L68 V8 for use with a manual transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The transmission mount and the U-joints at the transmission yoke were replaced in 2024.
A dealer invoice, a window sticker copy, a Protect-o-Plate, an owner’s manual, 1986 Bloomington Gold judging sheets, and refurbishment photos are included in the sale.
The car was refinished in maroon in 2002 following the replacement of the front-end bodywork and stress crack repairs around the body. Features include a white convertible soft top, a striped stinger hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and a side-exit exhaust system with heat shields.
The 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and were mounted with Firestone-branded thin whitewall tires. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the brake hoses were replaced and the fluid was flushed in preparation for sale. The inner and outer tie rods and steering idler have been replaced along with an alignment in 2024.
The cabin was refurbished in the 1980s and features two bucket seats upholstered in white as well as color-coordinated door panels and black carpets. Amenities include headrests, a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature.
The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, the speedometer cable was replaced in the 1980s and total mileage is unknown.
