This 1971 Triumph TR6 has a multi-year cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment that consisted of overhauling the 2.5-liter inline six, repairing the body, applying white paint, refreshing the interior in tan upholstery, and replacing suspension, brake, and steering components. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission with a J-type overdrive as well as triple Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, a PerTronix ignition system, a Monza dual exhaust system, tubular headers, and electronic and mechanical fuel pumps in addition to 15″ wire wheels, a rear tube shock conversion, polyurethane suspension bushings, a factory white hardtop, a British Leyland AM radio, Scosche speakers, and three-point seat belts.
The 2.5-liter inline-six was overhauled in the late 2000s and is equipped with triple Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, a PerTronix ignition system, tubular headers, and electronic and mechanical fuel pumps. The alternator was refurbished in 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a retrofitted J-type overdrive. The car has been fitted with a Monza dual exhaust system.
The car was factory finished in Saffron (54). Rust and dents were removed, a replacement left quarter panel was installed, the rear floor pan was replaced, and the car was repainted in white. The soft top has been removed and a factory white hardtop is fitted along with chrome bumpers, a left-side mirror, a bright fuel-filler cap, TR6 quarter panel decals, and quad exhaust outlets.
Steel 15″ wire wheels are powder-coated in light gray and mounted with 205/70 tires. The suspension is fitted with polyurethane bushings, and a tube shock conversion with KYB GR-2 dampers is installed at the rear. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the seller notes that the master cylinder and the brake pads, shoes, and hoses were replaced.
The interior was trimmed in black from the factory and was refreshed during the aforementioned refurbishment with replacement tan leather upholstery on the bucket seats as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpeting and a refinished wood dash. Additional equipment includes a British Leyland AM radio, Scosche speakers, manual-crank windows, and three-point seat belts. An auxiliary hood release handle has been added to the right footwell.
Smiths instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer and a refurbished tachometer along with centrally mounted gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level.
The five-digit odometer was overhauled and reset to zero, and it now shows 91 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
