The car is finished in black with white ash and mahogany wood trim panels over custom red leather upholstery with Highlander plaid wool inserts, and power comes from a numbers-matching 323.5ci L-head straight-eight paired with an M-5 Fluid Drive semi-automatic transmission. Features include an electrically-operated black soft top with red piping, dual spotlights and mirrors, driving lamps, an electric fuel pump, dual heaters, an AM radio, and custom rear passenger windscreens.
The 323.5ci L-head straight-eight features five main bearings as well as a single-barrel carburetor for a factory rating of 135 horsepower. Maintenance performed in preparation for sale included a service of the radiator and water pump, a service of the valves and intake manifold in 2016, and a rebuild of the carburetor. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an M-5 Fluid Drive semi-automatic transmission. An electric fuel pump is fitted.
The FCA Historical Services documentation lists a build date of October 7, 1947, and delivery to the Glenn Austin Motor Company as well as powertrain numbers and original colors.
Delivered from the factory in Noel Green (30), the car was repainted black during the 1990s refurbishment, a color not offered by the factory on the 1947 Town & Country.
