This 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe convertible is powered by a 239ci flathead V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over two-tone vinyl upholstery.
The 239ci flathead V8 features a single downdraft carburetor with an oil bath air cleaner and was rebuilt by Extreme Motorports Engineering.
The electrical system has been converted to use 12 volts, and an alternator and aluminum radiator have been installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission.
Paired with a replacement black soft top.
Accents include a split windscreen, “Custom” badging on the front fenders, polished bodyside trim, and side skirts for the rear wheel openings.
Black-finished steel wheels wear polished covers and trim rings and are fitted with 15″ wide-whitewall tires.
A full-size spare resides in the trunk.
The braking and suspension systems were overhauled during the refurbishment.
The interior features a black and red scheme on the front and rear bench seats complemented by tri-tone treatments for the door panels.
The cabin is also equipped with black carpeting, a Magic Air heater, and a perforated dashboard, the latter of which houses a clock and a push-button AM radio.
An aftermarket cassette player is fitted in the glovebox, and aftermarket auxiliary gauges are mounted along the underside of the dash.
The body-color metal dashboard is fronted by a two-spoke steering wheel and houses a 100-mph speedometer with inset auxiliary gauges.
The five-digit odometer shows 900 miles, true mileage is unknown.
