This 1965 Pontiac GTO coupe is powered by an overbored 389ci V8 equipped with a Tri-Power induction setup paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.55:1 Posi-traction rear end.

The replacement 389ci V8 was installed in 2014 by Nino Performance, and uses a block sourced from a contemporary Catalina.

The engine was overbored and fitted with Keith Black pistons, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, a COMP Cams Factory Muscle camshaft, roller rockers, a Melling oil pump, a Milodon oil pan, and ARP studs.

The engine is topped with three two-barrel carburetors. An electric cooling fan is also installed.

The four-speed manual transmission was installed in place of the factory three-speed unit approximately 15 years ago.

A Centerforce clutch and a resurfaced flywheel were installed in 2014.

The 3.55:1 Posi-traction differential was overhauled in 2007, and a MagnaFlow exhaust system is fitted.

The body was refinished in black during a refurbishment performed between 2003 and 2005, and the body is equipped with a hood scoop, chrome bumpers, and bumper-mounted reverse lights.

The 14″ rally wheels are wrapped in reproduction BFGoodrich Silvertown redline tires.

The power steering pump was replaced during the refurbishment, along with the brake lines.

The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and door panels, a black dash pad, and a woodgrain dash veneer.

Equipment includes a center console with polished trim, an aftermarket shifter, a factory push-button radio, and a glove box-mounted Jensen CD player.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure.

The factory water temperature gauge is disconnected, and aftermarket AutoMeter gauges are mounted beneath the stock radio.

The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles.
