This 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup is powered by a 454ci V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with an adjustable stall converter. Refinished in red with a black interior, this C10 received upgrades to the drivetrain, brakes, and suspension.
An engine sourced from a 1992 Chevrolet 454SS was installed and rebuilt in August 2017 with 10.2:1 compression pistons, aluminum cylinder heads, a Quick Fuel 750CFM carburetor, and ceramic coated exhaust headers. Rack-and-pinion steering controls the front wheels and a 3.73:1 differential with Positraction distributes power to the rear wheels. Other additions include disc brakes, sway bars, tubular control arms, and Bilstein shocks.
Details of the engine rebuild work are below: Brodix aluminum cylinder heads, Keith Black hypereutectic pistons with 10.2:1 compression, Howards camshaft, Howards aluminum roller rockers, Crower hydraulic roller lifters, Crower one-piece pushrods, ARB bolt kit, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold, Quick Fuel Hot Rod Series 750CFM carburetor, Aluminum water pump, New timing chain, MSD ignition, Doug Thorley Tri-Y exhaust headers with ceramic coating, Larger aluminum radiator with electronic variable fans, Big Block Chief valve covers, March serpentine pulley.
The 12-bolt rear-end features 3.73:1 final gearing and Positraction.
The lowered body sits on 15″ rally wheels wearing Chevrolet logo hub caps and mounted with BF Goodrich tires.
The interior features a painted dash, black upholstery, and air conditioning blows cold. The rack-and-pinion’s power steering pump was rebuilt and a PS fluid cooler was added in 2015.
A RetroSound stereo unit with Bluetooth has been added with speakers installed in the kick panels and under the bench seat.
The controller for the B&M stall converter is mounted under the heater and air conditioning controls as seen above. The instrument cluster was sourced from Brothers and features an 8k rpm tachometer and a clock.
True mileage is unknown.
