The car was subsequently refurbished and modified, which included installation of replacement body panels, refinishing the exterior in silver, updating the red interior, fitting front coilovers, rear monoleaf springs, Z06-sourced disc brakes, and 18″ wheels, and installing a fuel-injected 495ci V8, a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, and a 12-bolt rear end with a Positraction differential.

Finished from the factory in Windward Blue (87), the body was repainted in Mercedes-Benz Iridium Silver during the build, which also included replacement of the rocker panels, rear valance, and sections of the floors. LizardSkin sound deadener was applied to the floor pans, the seams were eliminated on the rear valance, and Detroit Speed rear mini-tubs were installed.

Features include a steel Trans Am-style hood, a rear spoiler, body-color painted bumpers, fender stripes, tinted windows, and LED taillights.

Staggered-width 18″ Rushforth wheels wear 245/40 front and 335/30 rear BFGoodrich g-Force T/A tires.

Braking is handled by C6 Z06 Corvette-specification six-piston calipers matched with 14″ discs up front and four-piston calipers with 13″ discs at the rear.

Further updates include a Hotchkis sway bar, ATS Corvette-style spindles, Global West front control arms, and Hyperco coilover springs paired with Bilstein dampers up front along with Hyperco composite monoleaf springs and Koni shocks out back.

The interior features bolstered front buckets and a rear bench clad in red upholstery with coordinated interior trim.

Replacement red carpeting is installed over Dynamat sound insulation, and additional features include a roll bar, a Hurst shifter, a Detroit Speed intermittent wiper system, and a climate control system sourced from Vintage Air.

An Alpine stereo is linked to an amplifier and components mounted within the trunk.

Replacement gauges feature a digital odometer indicating that just over 4k miles have been driven since completion of the build.

Total mileage is unknown.
